music: something from patrick's room...

quoted from Adelaide's journal...

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were
allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

There are so many people that would read that and would not get it and still not support it at all...

arghhh.

Ok...

Something stung me today cleaning up Dennis' debris in the back yard, which included leaves and ahhhh branch. What a vicious storm eh?

It could have been a wasp or maybe a hornet...

The conclusion of what stung me has yet to be determined. All I know is that it wasn't a bee, it flew, and stung me on my DAMN CUTICLE!!!! which REALLY REALLY HURT!!!!! Pain shot all the way up my arm.

After my brief panic attack, we consulted WebMD and found out that having a panic attack will cause the venom to move further down the blood streem which led us to figure out why my entire arm hurt really bad. So... Note to All: Stay clam after you are stung by a bee/wasp/hornet insect.

I hope you all learn a valuable lesson.

Jason

O yeah...

Does anyone really know the difference in the two insects above?

No summer is ever like the last...

May. 31st, 2005 | 01:17 pm
mood: bored bored
music: Underoath - Best Of Me

I technically have 3 jobs and I still feel like I'm wasting time. Last summer I had 2 and I felt like I was overworked. Things change I guess. Speaking of change... I have much shorter hair now. I didn't get it cut by choice though, it had to be done. If you haven't seen me lately then you probably didn't hear the story. I was getting the grill ready to cook some chicken for quesadillas. The ignitor wouldn't work, so I ran inside to grab a lighter (it only felt like it was less than 5 seconds). I walk up to the grill and light it. The grill lit fine, but what also lit was me. I was "engulfed" in flames, if you will, and half of my bangs, all the hair on my hand, and some on my arm was all singed off. I regret to inform everyone that I did not get pictures. The thought imidiately came to mind, but I had left my camera at my Hoover home and I was residing in my Tuscaloosa home that night. Patrick was the only one to witness the singeing. He was the lucky one. Mind you, he almost died having watch a wall of flames surround me. So yeah, I had to get a hair cut to fix my non-existent bangs. That's the story of the week.

I miss people.
Summer sometimes sucks.
Gooday.
